Blended Red Paisley

Hi everybody! I hope your week is going well! Mine has been pretty sunny and wonderful. No complaints here!

This is the manicure that I've been sporting the past 4 days. It's finally chipping and I'm excited to try something new.

For this manicure I used 3 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On that I frankened into a creamy colour by adding about 14 drops of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Yellow that didn't have a name. I just didn't want a glaring white for this one.

Once that was fully dry I used image plate m60 paisley pattern, and painted one side of the image with Revlon Matte Suede Ruby Ribbon, and the other side with OPI Off With Her Red. I scraped a couple times to blend the colours a little and then stamped each nail so that the darker red was at the base. Seche Vite and voila!

This is in the shade:

And direct sunlight:

Thanks for taking a peek!

  3. Anita: redwork! Cool! Oooh this makes me want to do blackwork too. Actually I've seen some pretty blue and white manicures recently that have been inspired by the blue and white patterns on old porcelain. LOVE.

Elizabeth: Thank you! I'm glad you find the list bit useful! I like to try and tell everyone what I used. I'm not really into tutorials (esp videos) at least for now, but this I can do. This is one of my all time favorite plates! :)

  7. rebecca: It's too much fun! Actually I thought it would be easier to mix up the colours too much with the scraper but I scraped this several times each stamp and it still showed the two colours nicely!

    ritterbraten: Thank you :D

Alice: It's Konad image plate m60 and it has plaid, argyle and a sort of gradient polka dot image as well! <3

Thanks Michelle! The neat thing about the two colours on the plate is that if you always put the same colour int eh same place it's super easy to stamp your nails consistently. At least I found it way easier. :)

  8. I suck at Konad, but I love to look at them - this is awesome! I like the double red, and you can see the difference in the two.

  13. Maeve and JustSomeNails:: Thank you both! I was tickled with the gradient and actually I got all excited and spent like 2 hours just testing out two and three colour gradients on paper. FUN!

debra: Oooh that's exciting! Hope you have a blast with them. My best advice is not to get too tense about placing the stamp. I have had more luck when I am more relaxed about the stamping than when I TRY to be precise.

ABOP: Awe I'm sorry you haven't had luck! I really like the stamping of yours that I've seen! Thanks!

Marmalade: Me too! I can't wait to try a variation of this in blue!

Thank you all for your notes and encouragement! <3
