Spring Double Stamp

Hello!  I'm still here!  Just in the middle of gardening season and getting my perennial bed sorted out so I have dirty paws lately.  So I pulled a manicure from the not so distant past, that I created to celebrate the first days of spring.

In the spirit of all the lovely birdsong, bursting blooms and budding trees:

I forgot what combinations of polish I used for this manicure--pretty sure the base green is Barielle Mint Ice Cream Cone, and I put a light coat of Covergirl Boundless Color Pink Twinkle over every nail before sealing with my favorite topcoat Seche Vite. I used image plates: BM003 (flower), BM-204 (green, stamped twice), BM-410 (dragonfly), as well as one Cheeky XL plate.  The pink nail is a kind of pond manicure with a sheer pink jelly.

Do you have a favorite spring manicure?  Or a favorite colour nail polish this spring/summer?

Thanks for popping by!

Bright Bundle Monster Arrowheads

Summer is around the bend and I'm busting out the sunshine!

2 coats Pure Ice Superstar!
Vertical gradient using Franken Sheers: Pink and Yellow
Stamped using BM-410 and Billie Cosmetics White
Seche Vite

I designed this image from the Bundle Monster CYO 2013 images plate set.  I'm super proud of it!  I submitted another 10 images for this year's contest and I'm looking forward to finding out what kind of images make this years set(s).  I'm in love the CYO 2013 set because it was basically designed by a bunch of nail heads and ALL the images are totally badass.

I'm really happy with how the pink and yellow blended to make that awesome peach colour in the center.  This manicure looks amazeballs in the sun and shade, and if I do it again I want to try using some very fine glitter between the gradient and the stamp.  Maybe some Cover Girl Boundless Color Pink Twinkle or City Lights.  Or China Glaze Fairy Dust.  ALL THE SPARKLY.

What's on your nails today?  Do you have or know of a cool nail art blog I should check out?  Did you design any of the images from this set--or do you have a favorite image? Leave a link if you like!  Thanks for peeking!

Super Bright St.Patty's Day Mani!

Greetings Jellybeans!

I thought I would try something crazy bright for a St Patty's themed mani!  Lately I can't get enough chartreuse and lime.  If you click on these you might get a better hint of the shimmer.  You lose the splatter pattern of the image,  but man...I think it is one of my favorite images from Bundle Monster's 2013 CYO set.  It's so versatile and fun!  I wish I'd thought of it when I was designing my entries!  I'm so glad someone did!

2 coats of Pure Ice Wild Thing
+ (Kleancolor Jazz Olive + BM-416 splatter)
+ (American Apparel Hunter + BM-406  Celtic hearts)
+ Seche Vite

Full Sunlight:

What do you think would look great for St Patty's?

Thanks for checking in!

Fun with Layered Stamps!

JELLYBEANS!

It's been a long time. Is there anybody still out there?
I made pretties!

Layered Bundle Monster stamps!

2 coats pastel pink franken
+ (LAC untitled neon pink + BM-416 Splatter)
+(Frankened grey + BM-017 Filigree)
+SH Insta-Dri Top Coat
= 1 Badass Mani

The pink splatter is much brighter IRL, but I couldn't get my camera to capture it!

And my new friend Aimee came over today for a play date --the kids played too.  ;p
I got to paint her nails with a pretty design and she said I could show it off here as well!   I am looking forward to many more nail art afternoons with her!

2 coats Billie Cosmetics white creme
+ (China Glaze Sun Worshipper + BM-416 Splatter)
+ (Frankened grey + Cheeky XL B Rings)
+SH Insta-Dri Top Coat
= 1 Badass Mani

I love Bundle Monster.  I used a plate from the CYO 2013 set and one of my all time faves from the newly revised original set. Both manicures were over stamped using a frankened charcoal grey.  I think I used a bottle of SH Insta-Dri Whirlwind White with several drops of Claire's Black Hole.  I don't remember what I did to make the pink franken.

I'M SO EXCITED! Did you hear Bundle Monster is having another CYO nail plate competition? You can submit up to ten images that you would like to see on an image plate and see if any make the cut! 5 of my images were selected for the 2013 set!  I can't wait to try again this year!

Happy Painting!

Sponged areas of various pastel colours
Image plate: BM-215
Stamp Polish: Claire's Black Hole
1 coat Essie Shine of the Times
Top: Seche Vite

Things are insanely busy on out little acreage this summer.  The boys are very active.  Lots of general upkeep.  Gardening and keeping my nails pretty is a big deal!  I just love watching all the perennials burst into bloom!  Still waiting on the Peonies (my absolute favorite).  They are so lush, voluptuous and heavy...

I also have a show of my inkle woven and tapestry pieces at a local gallery/coffee shop and am preparing for the reception! Very cool!  I am doing some weaving demonstrations.

What's your favorite summer pastime?

Thanks for peeking!

POP!

POP!

Hello!!
I used several image plates and polishes for this, and if anyone is curious which ones just drop me a note.
I'm pretty sure the blue and yellow were SH insta-dri, and the red was OPI Off With Her Red. Top Coat was SH Insta-Dri.
I'm sorry for the up close of my eczema on my right hand.  It hit me pretty hard between the move and the harsh temp/humidity changes we've had this winter.  I'm trying just plain coconut oil on it now.  I've heard it's pretty awesome for eczema, so I'm hopeful it will work for me.

Almost have it all together for my giveaway so please stay tuned!  Thanks for popping by!

Sally Hansen Black & White Paisley

Base: SH Extended Wear
Nail (and dots): SH Xtreme Wear "White On"
Stamp (and dots): SH Hard as Nails "Black Heart"
Plate: BM-315
Top: SH Insta-Dri

I know it's been months and months since I last made a post and this is pretty short and sweet, but I promise I am still a total addict!! My polish stash continues to grow despite all efforts to restrain myself --sometimes they are just toooo pretty!  I collected all 3 BM sets plus that handy case, and I have more image plates arriving by post sometime in early Feb.  Things have been intense here over the past 6 months or so, but now that the dust is settling I hope to be back to fairly regular posting.  Stick around! I'm plotting a giveaway! :D

Blue and White China

Greetings Jelly Beans!

I've seen some blue and white manicures around the internet that remind me SO much of fine china, that I finally decided to give it a shot. I started with 2 coats of Wet n' Wild French White Creme, then stamped using a full nail stamp off #BM-224 and Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue. Finished with a coat of Seche Vite! If you look close on my thumb you'll see the nasty seam I got when I was double stamping. My right thumb turned out better, but I'm having so much trouble taking a non-blurry shot with my good hand I didn't even try to switch it up.

I really enjoy how effective this is! It's fresh and spring-y too! The fiber artist in me also sees reference to those heirloom applique quilts in blue and white.

One more shot in the bright light:

I've been rounding up some un-trieds and doubles from my stash, as we begin paring down the stuff in our house for the big move. Planning for an exciting giveaway! :)

Best wishes and thanks for stopping by!

Excuses!

Hello Jellos!
I'm still here!

Point form update/excuses:
1) Prepping for the big November sale
2) Prepping for Christmas
3) Eczema outbreak from hell (I love you winter!)
4) Hosting meetings and gatherings/being gone all through the holidays
5) CLEAN UP

Did I mention I have a 2.5 year old boy? :P That's busy all by itself!

ANYWAYS. I did manage to paint my nails with something fancy ONCE this holiday. I did a white french tip, then a coat of a clear polish with opalescent sparkles suspended inside, and finished off by stamping a snowflake image from the first bundle monster set, using Gosh metallic Blue. Seche Vite top coat. Sorry about the super dryness of my skin! It's been real torture this winter, so I've basically given my nails and skin a break from polish and remover, and have been applying my hypo-allergenic lotion non-stop.

Christmas was a blast and I did wind up purchasing a few new polishes and getting a couple as gifts, so I'll try to get in over the next few days and at least post about my small haul. I also have a little surprise!

Hope the season has been good to you!
